Junior Achievement in 3rd Class

Mrs. Kinsella and Ms. Kennedy’s 3rd class were chosen to participate in Junior Achievement Ireland this term. An employee from West, Ms. Lorna Cotterell (also known as Heidi-Mae’s Mam), facilitated the course over the duration of six weeks. The objective was caring for our planet and sustainability. Each session delved into a different area of concern, such as, our food footprint, litter and waste, conservation of water, nature preservation and biodiversity. In small groups, we also created sustainability campaigns to target these areas, so watch this space! The girls thoroughly enjoyed this enriching programme and many thanks to Lorna Cotterell for facilitation these Junior Achievement sessions with such fun and enthusiasm.
