Mercy Stars: Women in Sport

At a special assembly, we paid tribute to some of our Mercy Stars. It was a whole school celebration and we were joined by the Holy Family Junior school.

The assembly celebrated some of our students following their recent success in kickboxing. We also celebrated sporting achievements by two of our staff members, Ms Vikki Falconer and Ms Jillian Hayes.

Ms Falconer was awarded an All Star for Camogie in October this year and Ms Hayes is the current assistant coach for the Irish Women’s Basketball team. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to hear from Ms Falconer and Ms Hayes, as they told us about their sporting journeys and about the importance of dedication, commitment and support from others.
