Eason Spelling Bee County Champion 2023

At the beginning of this year, the school registered to take part in the Eason Spelling Bee. We held our own in-house spelling bee to determine which of our students would be put forward for the County Finals. Sophie, in Ms Russell’s 6th class, was crowned the school representative and off she went to the County Final in Bonmahon on 18th April.

We were absolutely thrilled to hear that Sophie was after winning the county final. We are very proud of Sophie and cheers rang out around the school when Mrs O’Brien made the announcement over the school intercom.

As the county champion, Sophie will travel to Cork in May to battle it out to be the Munster Champion. We wish Sophie the best of luck in the Munster Final.
